Adverbs, Prepositions and ConjunctionsThere are many common adverbs, prepositions and conjunctions that you will regularly see in written Hebrew. The following are amongst the most common, starting with the most widely used adverbs: כֵּן So עָתַה Now אַךְ Indeed, certainly רַק Only אוּלַי Perhaps אוּלָם But The following are common conjunctions that you should learn to recognize: אֲשֵׁר Which, Who, That אוֹ Or גַּם Also פֶּן Otherwise Finally, you have regularly used prepositions: אֵל To, Belonging to אִם If בֵּין Between כִּי That, Because, So מִין From עַד Until עוֹד Again עַל Upon, Over שָׁם There Words for each of these lists are often used in combination with one another to create new concepts and ideas.
