Identifying Hebrew Questions

Identifying written questions in Hebrew is relatively simple as there are several common interrogative words that are used to begin questioning sentences. These are as follows:

מִי   Who

מָה   What

מָתַי   When

אֵיפֹה / אֵי   Where

לָמָּה   Why

אֵיךְ   How

Another way that question can be formed is by adding Hey as a prefix to a term or phrase, known in this case as an 'interrogative hey'. Hence, a phrase like יְדַעְתֶּם can be turned into a question by adding ה at the beginning, so now you have 'do you know?'.
