Resh

Resh (ray-sh) is the 20th letter of the alephbet, one that is usually pronounced as an 'r' by non-native speakers:

When speaking Hebrew, it is usually recommended that Resh comes from the back of the tongue with a rolling 'r' sound. Consequently, Resh is another guttural character. Interestingly, in some of the Scriptures, Resh is written with a dagesh which many scholars have posited tells you that there should be a double 'rr' used. For instance, the evidence that Sarah was spelled with a double 'rr' is taken from the inclusion of the dagesh mark.
